Thank you for considering becoming a shelter pet foster parent! Foster parents provide a home environment for our dogs and cats for lengths of time from an overnight or weekend visit to foster placement until adoption. We place animals in foster care for many reasons, mainly animals too young for adoption, animals recovering from major illness or injury or animals experiencing kennel stress. We will provide all necessary supplies for the care of the foster dog or cat. Animals still on their 72 (business) hour hold will not be fostered. In addition, highly adoptable dogs and cats will generally not be selected for foster homes. Foster homes do need a reliable source of transportation, as we may need the animals transported to a veterinary clinic or back to the shelter on short notice.
We appreciate all of our fosters and are so grateful for all that they do!
