Changes to our Services

As we move forward with the Tri-City Animal Shelter/Benton Franklin Humane Society partnership, there will be some slight changes to the services offered at the Pasco location.  This change will help ensure the animals receive the best care possible during their stay.

The Pasco facility, known currently as the Tri-City Animal Shelter, will become a stray drop-off and owner redemption/return-to-owner facility.   Animals who are on their 72-hour hold will remain at this facility.

Once the stray hold is released, these animals will be transferred to our Kennewick facility, known currently as Benton Franklin Humane Society, to be placed for adoption (pending available space).  Appointments are required for viewing or adopting dogs within the Kennewick facility, but the cat viewing area is open to the public.  This is for the health and well-being of the animals in our care.  All animals released from this facility will require spay/neuter prior to being adopted.

As this is a time of transition, we are asking for patience and understanding during this time.  There may be a delay in returning calls or messages.  Please be assured, our staff is working diligently to answer all calls and emails as quickly as possible.  We appreciate your support.
